Farewell to Rideau Bakery: A Legacy in Ottawa

It is with heavy hearts that we bid farewell to Rideau Bakery, a beloved institution that has served Ottawa for nearly 90 years. The news of their closure brings a sense of loss to our community.
In addition to being a cornerstone of Ottawa's culinary scene, the bakery's owner, David Kardish, is currently battling lymphoma. Our thoughts and well-wishes go out to him, and we wish him strength and good health in this challenging time.
As fellow members of the baking community, we stand in solidarity with Rideau Bakery and its owner. While their ovens may be cooling, their legacy will forever remain warm in our hearts.

It is very sad that Rideau Bakery have to close their doors because of this awful pandemic. I wish they didn’t have to but here’s hoping their future endeavours will be bright. Goodbye Rideau and lots of luck and love to you. You will be sadly missed.
